At Columbia Academy, we take great pride in the fact that the Chief Instructor of our Video & Film Production program is an award-winning professional with nearly 30 years of experience in virtually every aspect of video and television production to her credit.

Deborah Angrave, Video & Film Production Chief Instructor, holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Radio & Television Production degree from the prestigious Ryerson Polytechnical Institute.
Since then, Deborah has worked on hundreds of video and television projects for Rogers Television, the CBC, Shaw TV, and independently, with her own production company, Waterline Productions as an award-winning Producer, Director, Director of Photography, Documentarian, Editor, and Videographer.

Deborah believes that the Video & Film Production learning experience is enhanced through working with clients who bring a variety of real projects to the school. Over the past few years the Video & Film Production team has produced numerous corporate marketing videos, short films, music videos, documentaries, and pilot concepts for television.
Deborah takes pride in teaching Video & Film Production students what it takes to make it in the business. She is particularly proud of the fact that many of our Video & Film Production students have gone on to successful careers in video, film, and television production.
Geoff Scott, Video & Film Production Instructor, has over ten years of experience in all facets of television and video production. He has worked for the CBC, Rogers Television, and the Knowledge Network as a Producer, Director, Camera Operator, Editor, Master Control Operator, and many other capacities. Geoff is currently producing a weekly television series, Tri-Cities Community TV, which airs on Shaw Television.
Ed Weaver, Video & Film Production Instructor, has nearly 30 years of production experience behind him. Ed has been a Producer, Director, Editor and Camera Operator on dramatic and comedic TV series (The Chris Isaak Show), commercials, music videos, instructional and corporate videos, films, and others.
